Photography is the art, application, and practice of creating durable images by recording light.

So, here comes Ara Alexander “a little woman prodigy ‘’ who had the passion to capture images @ the tender age of 15.

She picked up her first lesson on basic photography from her ‘Guru ‘ Pesi Dubash .

Gradually she acquired the ‘eye’ to compose images on various subjects n objects around her with her debut Cannon 1000.

From a mere hobby her passion in photography catapulted her to become a professional herself @ the age of 21 only!

“We live in a world obsessed with image. What we look like, what our clothes look like – I like to counter this obsession with delicate ‘clicking’ which looks natural. We all make assumptions based on the external visual aspects of what surrounds us – I like to challenge this automatic way that we react to just physical appearing by highlighting the often surprising inner beauty.”

Her work is totally unconventional, simple and clean – and very unique. ‘Being natural’ ‘is her motto. I prefer clean photography with minimum photoshopping , no flash , no edit , and preferably transforming the images to Black n White .

And that is a cool niche to have.

She firmly believes in ‘competing’ with herself.

She is inspired by photographer Roohshad Garda’s work.

Amongst her favorite Indian photographers she fancies the work of Roohshad Garda, Prabhuda Dasgupta , Sheena Sippy .
